Welcome to Refuge Martial Arts Ozark. We train in Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & positive life style choices. Various classes are held daily. (See schedule) Kids Grappling/Jiu Jitsu class is at 4:00 pm Monday, Wednesday & Friday is No Gi. We hold Taekwondo classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting at 5:00 PM for Beginner class. Teens and Adults class is at 6 PM and Jiu Jitsu starts at 7 pm. Future Black Belts are signing up daily. Check us out on

Welcome to Refuge Martial Arts Ozark. We are a Christian based organization and have a passion for improving the mind, body and spirit of students of all ages. We teach TaeKwonDo, Self-defense, Jiu-Jitsu and Positive lifestyle choices. Refuge Martial Arts Ozark is an affiliate of Refuge Martial Arts HQ based in Headland, Alabama. Our local affiliates are Refuge Martial Arts HQ in Headland, Alabama and Refuge Martial Arts Abbeville. We are part of the American Taekwondo Foundation based out of Montgomery, Alabama under the teachings of Grand Master Y.S. Chung. Collectively American Taekwondo Foundation has over 28 schools throughout the southeast United States.
Our Ozark Chief Instructor, Mr. Hamm has been in Martial arts for over 15 years, primarily in Taekwondo but also Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo. He holds a 4th degree Black Belt in Taekwondo with the American Taekwondo Foundation. Mr. Hamm earned his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training with Black Belt Adam Jolly under the teachings of Professor Brian James and IBJJF Gi & No Gi Champion 3rd Degree Black Belt Eric Raposo of Slidell, Louisiana. Additionally Mr. Hamm holds a Green Belt in United States Judo Association. He is a Certified Taekwondo Instructor with the American Taekwondo Foundation. Mr. Hamm is married, and has 4 children. His family is heavily involved in martial arts holding multiple Black Belts amongst his wife and sons.
